MWSnap is a freeware utility that easily allows you to “grab” your entire screen, a particular window, or a hand selected region from anywhere on the screen.

While it’s true that Windows 7 has the Snipping tool, the thing that makes MWSnap better in our way of thinking is that it gives you the size of the area you are selecting, which makes it easier to clip graphics that are just the right size for your project.

Click here to download MWSnap from the publisher’s website.

It is a very small download and only takes a minute (less) to install on your Windows system.  We have personally used MWSnap for many years and have used it on 32-bit Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 systems and 64-bit Windows Vista and Windows 7 machines.

While you should find MWSnap very easy to use, we will be posting a short video detailing how we most often use the tool in our workflow for creating web graphics.
